We became roommates and close friends, connected by our shared otherness, confined within the four walls of my bedroom. Setting up the camera became a ritual, a way for us to interact and explore our relationship. As I scroll back through the memories on my iPhone, Icarus gradually transcends his avian nature. Slowly, he transforms into an image himself, inviting reflection on the nature of the human-pet relationship that we carry in our back pocket.
