Luca, Ask and Josefine have all tried to be outsiders at their old schools. They have had difficulty making friends and fitting in, but at Østerskov Efterskole in Hobro there is plenty of room to be different. It is Denmark's only role-playing school, and role-playing helps students find out who they are, in their own way. Over two years, we follow the students fighting uncertainty and anxiety wearing costumes and swords. It is a journey away from childhood towards independence, filled with vulnerability, courage and the wildness of youth. Can Ash learn that he doesn't have to be good at everything all the time to be good enough? Can Josefine dare to be herself, even when she is not playing someone else? Does Lucas's newfound confidence kick in when she has to move into her own apartment outside the safe confines of the school?
