Then I crossed the border into Guatemala, staying in the beautiful town of Flores to visit the ancient Mayan ruins of Tikal. Next stop was the beautiful Semuc Champey, stunning waterfalls in the jungle-filled mountains. I stayed at the Zephyr Lodge in Lanquin which was a fun but dangerous place for your bank account.
